School Renunion

                                     School Reunion 2015

St. Brendan's College, Woodbrook, will be demolished later this year to make way for a new, state of the art structure due for completion in early July.

To commemorate this event, the past pupils' union along with current and former staff members met in the school's hall recently to take a final look at the school.
Current and former students chatted and shared reveries of old as they swapped stories of yesteryear with peers from the good old days.
The current LCVP students under the auspices of Ms Syron addressed the past pupils to inform them of the school blog, the need for the past pupils to involve themselves in school activities and their invaluable sharing of career advice.
They also encouraged the past pupils to purchase a brick in the new school.
This will be to help fund the variety of novel and exciting projects that are in store.
Past pupils and former teachers posed for photographs.
They shared a joke and strolled the corridors of their teenage years and they recalled events and names which made up so much of their formative years.
Many students admitted to feeling somewhat sentimental at the thought of the demolition of the school but all agreed the new school would be a magnificent improvement to a structure which had become dated since its construction in 1950.
With dignitaries such as President Mary McAleese, Rock star Bono and Film director, Jim Sheridan, among the many to have graced its hallowed halls, not to mention the many successes in exams, on the sports field and in school musicals, St Brendan's College will cherish the memory of a glorious past and move forward to the promise of a bright and successful future.
