Supportive Information

Coping Day to Day  from Suicide Aware

If you are trying to cope with the suicide of a loved one, you should try to stay involved with other people and avoid isolation.  You could share your experience by joining a support group and this will help you to find ways to manage your feelings when other life events trigger painful memories about the loss you have experienced.

You should try to understand that getting better involves feeling okay some days and worse on other days and you should resist any pressure that's put on you to get over the loss.  You must do what's right for you to cope with your loss.
