1st Year 2016

CSPE Project
The Pearse Declaration of Human Rights is a document created by Mr. Cullen's First year class.  It contains the principal rights that every student in Pearse is entitled to.
At first everyone in Pearse was given a homework assignment to find a right every child is entitled to and to add an image to it.  We all came up with different rights and afterwards we stuck all of them on a huge poster.  Later, we were given another homework assignment to find real photographs and pictures of people both enjoying and violating their rights.  We then added them onto our poster.  In the end we fixed our mistakes and gave it a title; 'The Pearse Declaration of Human Rights'
We were inspired to write this declaration after studying the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.  This is a universal document that contains 30 articles.  Each article states the rights that every human is entitled to.   Overall, we had great fun making our declaration .  We put in a lot of hard work and creativity into it.  We also received great help from our C.S.P.E. teacher Mr. Cullen who gave us good advice on how to make our rights perfect.
